Enrichment

Church History 101
Ever wonder how the church actually formed? Why certain doctrines were chosen and others declared "heresies"? How and why some books became the Bible and others were left out?

Please join us this fall as the Enrichment Ministry offers an adult education class on Sundays, at 10:45 a.m. in the Banner Library, that will examine the history of the early church.

We will begin by setting the foundation of our study appropriately with a contextualization of Jesus' life and ministry, how his life and death were interpreted by those around him, and focus on with particular emphasis on the initial social, political and religious forces that have shaped and molded the institution we now call the church. The study will utilize Frontline's "From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians", followed by a time for questions and discussion.

All-Church Read
Thanks to all who participated in our All-Church Read program this year. The discussions have been a lot of fun - hope you have enjoyed them! Our next book will be announced in the fall. Until then, keep reading! And, if you come across a good book or two, please pass the titles on to us. We're always open to suggestions!
